Boo Castle Park

Boo Castle Park is a privately owned park open to the general public. The park was created to honor the memory of Jeremy "Boo" Rochman, who was a passenger in a deadly car accident on Giant City Rd, in 1993. As a child, he loved to play with toy action figures. As he grew older, he enjoyed painting wizard figures. Several of the original statues found throughout the yard are enlarged versions of the tiny ones Boo painted.

Nothing will erase the pain of losing a son and brother to eight siblings but the excitement on kids’ faces and the sounds of amazement and laughter as they run through the park to climb on the sleeping dragon or wind their way through the castle maze go a long way in keeping his spirit and our love for Boo alive.

Jeremy Rochman Memorial Park

-- its official name – was established in 2005. The park has a Dungeons and Dragons theme and there are over 30 sculptures to encourage the imagination of magic. The centerpiece is a very large wood and stone castle that has an elaborate jungle gym of tunnels, stairs, and bridges. Hidden doors and passageways invite the small and flexible; most adults are content to walk the battlements. Gargoyles and knights guard the ramparts. An ogre with a spiked club stands atop the portcullis, and an extensive sword collection is bolted to the lofty inner ceiling of one of the towers. Small treasures are scattered throughout the maze of towers for the eye to discover.

There is no entry fee to walk through our gates. All expenses to operate, maintain and add to the park are covered by the family in concurrence with approximately 15% donations from the general public. We encourage all guests who visit to help us keep the park clean, vandal free, and consider making a donation to support this effort to share joy and memories.
